How to Reorder Custom Stickers at Actual Prints: The Complete Walkthrough

Reorder guide

You already ordered a set of custom branded One Touch stickers or Top Loader stickers. The design is approved, your artwork is on file, and now you need another batch. Maybe you're running low, maybe you want to bump up the quantity, maybe you're switching from standard vinyl to holographic. Whatever the reason, you want to get another order going without starting from scratch.

Here's the full walkthrough for how that works: where to find your reorder number, exactly what the reorder function does (and more importantly, what it does not), how to change specs on a reorder, how the proof step interacts with reorders, and what to do if you lost your reorder number entirely. This covers every question I get from repeat customers.

The short version

The reorder number is the proof-skip trigger

When you enter a reorder number at checkout, the system pulls your previous artwork and skips the proof step entirely. Your order goes straight to print. That saves roughly a day on turnaround and is the whole reason the reorder function exists.

Material, size, and quantity do not carry over from your previous order. You have to re-select those yourself. And if you want me to edit your design or preview a new size before printing, don't use the reorder number at all. Place a fresh order instead.

Where to find your reorder number

Every custom order comes with a reorder number, but where I print it depends on what you ordered:

One Touch sticker locks and Top Loader sticker locks: The reorder number is printed on the top left of each sticker sheet. Look for a label that reads Reorder: 1234567890. Every sheet from that order has the same number. If you've used up some of the stickers but still have at least one sheet with the printed reorder label, you have your number.

Hockey pucks, die cut stickers, SpringCore trading card stands, custom magnetic card holders, and everything else: The reorder number is on the packing slip that ships with your order. It's printed near the order details.

Lost it?

Email me at sales@actualprints.com with your original order number and I'll look up the reorder number in my system. If you don't have the order number either, include your shipping address and approximate order date and I can usually find it from that.

What the reorder function actually does

When you enter a reorder number on a product page and check out, here's exactly what gets pulled forward from your previous order:

What comes with the reorder

  • Your original artwork file (the logo or design you uploaded)
  • The cut and print configuration associated with that artwork
  • Association with your account for my records

What does NOT come with the reorder

  • Material. Standard vinyl and holographic are separate selections. You pick each time.
  • Size. If your original order was a 35pt sticker and you want another 35pt sticker, you still need to select 35pt on the new order.
  • Quantity. You select the tier you want fresh every time.
  • Turnaround speed and shipping method. These reset every order.
  • Shipping address. That comes from your account, same as any order you place.

This surprises some people. The most common confusion I see is a customer reorders, forgets to select the size and material, then emails me asking why the cart total doesn't match their last order. It didn't match because they skipped the specs.

The reason reorders work this way is that most people who reorder want to change at least one thing. They bump the quantity, or switch from standard vinyl to holographic, or add another size to the mix. If the reorder function pre-filled the old specs, those customers would have to back-change each field. Starting from fresh specs is actually faster for the common case.

When the proof step gets skipped

Here's the rule in one sentence: if you enter a reorder number at checkout, the system skips the proof step and goes straight to print. That's the whole rule. There are no other conditions.

This means the reorder number is the proof-skip trigger. Not the material, not the size, not the quantity, not the artwork. If you've entered a valid reorder number, I'm printing your order without sending a fresh proof. The automation reads the reorder number and routes straight to the print queue.

That's convenient when you genuinely want a reprint of your last order, or the same artwork at a different quantity tier. It's a problem if you want to change the design or preview a new size first, because the system won't know to pause for your approval.

Important

If you want a fresh proof for any reason, do not use the reorder number. Place a new order from the product page as if you were a first-time customer and upload your artwork fresh. I'll build a new proof and send it to you normally.

The time savings from reordering (skipping the proof round-trip saves you about a business day) only matter when you're confident you want the exact same print as before. If you're not confident, the safer path is always to skip the reorder number and get a fresh proof.

Changing the design on a reorder

Short version: if you want to edit your design, don't use the reorder function. Place a fresh order without a reorder number.

The reason is the proof-skip behavior. If you enter a reorder number at checkout, the system skips the proof step and prints your order immediately using your previous artwork. If you wanted me to edit the artwork first, I wouldn't have a chance to send you the edited version for approval before it goes to print. You'd receive the old design printed, not your intended edit.

So the safe workflow for any design change is:

  1. Place a new order from the product page (leave the reorder number field blank)
  2. Upload your new or edited artwork
  3. Approve the proof I send you
  4. I print once you've approved

This is also the safest path if you're just unsure whether your artwork needs updating. When in doubt, skip the reorder number and get a fresh proof.

If you want to reuse the same design across different products (for example, take your One Touch sticker design and put it on Top Loader stickers), that's always a fresh order on the second product since each product has its own artwork slot. Email me ahead of time with the source files and I'll set it up.

Changing the size on a reorder

If your original order was 35pt One Touch stickers and you now want 100pt with the same logo, just use the reorder function. Enter your reorder number at checkout, select 100pt at the new size, and the system prints it.

The proof you approved on your original order is still valid for the new size, because the proof shows your artwork, not the sticker cut. Whether your stickers end up on a 35pt or a 180pt template, the logo itself is the same image. The template handles the sizing automatically. There's no new proof to wait for and nothing to approve again.

This is one of the cleanest uses of the reorder function. Same artwork, different size, straight to print.

Reordering and your deadline

A typical reorder timeline looks like this: order placed Monday morning, straight to print Monday afternoon or Tuesday, ship Wednesday. Compare to a first-time order: Monday morning, proof email Monday afternoon, you approve same day, print Tuesday or Wednesday, ship Thursday. The reorder saves roughly one business day because the proof round-trip gets cut.

If you need your reorder faster than that, email me before you check out. Sometimes I can push a job to the front of the queue depending on what else is in production. I'd rather know about your deadline before you order than find out after you've paid.

For shipping, UPS is available as an upgrade at checkout and has been more reliable than USPS lately. At bulk volumes the weight goes up fast, so the UPS premium is often smaller than you'd expect. See my turnaround times guide for the full timeline breakdown.

Quick answers

I lost my reorder number. Can I still reorder?

Yes. Email me at sales@actualprints.com with your original order number and I'll look it up. If you don't have the order number either, include your shipping address and approximate order date and I'll find it from there.

Can I reorder at a larger quantity than my original?

Yes. The reorder function pulls your artwork, and you pick the quantity tier on the new order. Going from 100 units to 500 units on the same design is a standard reorder, no new proof needed.

Can you update my logo and then reorder?

Yes, but do not use the reorder function for design changes. If you enter a reorder number at checkout, the system skips the proof and prints the old version. Instead, place a fresh order without the reorder number, upload your updated artwork, and I'll build a new proof from it. The reorder function is for reprints only, not for design edits.

Is there a limit on how many times I can reorder the same artwork?

No. Reorder as many times as you want.

Do you keep my artwork on file forever?

Yes. I keep every order's artwork indefinitely as long as the business is running. Even if you haven't ordered in a year or two, your reorder number and artwork are still on file.

Ready to reorder?

Find your reorder number, open the product page, and enter it at checkout:
